Favicons are an excellent way to brand your website or blog with an icon in the URL box. It gives an impression to the visitors that you are serious about what you are saying and it in many ways supports to create a brand for your own. maxblogpress has created the favicon plugin which you can download it from here.

Favicon Plugin contains around 100 preloaded Favicons but you can also add Favicons from your computer or any other URL. The plugin also suggests you a list of website that you can download some icons from.

Following are the steps to install the Favicon Plugin :

• Download the Favicon WordPress Plugin.
• Unzip the maxblogpress-favicon.zip file.
• Upload maxblogpress-favicon directory to wp-content/plugins directory.
• Activate the Plugin.
• Go to Options > MBP Favicon.
• Pick any preloaded icon or an icon from your computer and save.

It is so simple but you are into serious business once you have favicons installed. The image below shows some favicons that comes along when the plugin gets installed. But please note that inorder to use the plugin, you need to register your name and confirm it through an email, which is an easy step anyways.
