I already explained the Benefits of Adbrite’s Invideo before. But many bloggers who are using free services like Blogger etc., have faced problems when the Invideo player is embedded into their blog post. The problem is the invideo player does not appear on the blog post. So why doesn’t the InVideo player appear on my blog?. Well, following are the reasons that Adbrite has suggested to help solve the problem.
The code for InVideo contains JavaScript. Some platforms (incl. Blogger, MovableType, and MySpace) do not allow JavaScript code within a blog post or profile. InVideo will still work if you simply remove the JavaScript code. To do so, follow these steps:
- Paste the standard InVideo code into your blog post.
- Delete all the InVideo code before the opening Object tag (<object>)
- Delete all the InVideo code after the closing Object tag (</object>)
Your final code should look something like this:
<object classid=”clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000″ codebase=”http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0″ width=”468″ height=”400″ id=”abPlayerObj” align=”middle”><param name=”movie” value=”http://vid.adbrite.com/video/abplayer.swf?&vid=65&og=1″ /><param name=”quality” value=”best” /><embed src=”http://vid.adbrite.com/video/abplayer.swf?&vid=65&og=1″ quality=”best” width=”468″ height=”400″ name=”abPlayerObj” align=”middle” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer”></embed></object>
This should solve the problem. Repeat these steps whenever you add InVideo code to your blog.
If the InVideo player still won’t appear on your page, it may be that your platform does not support the <object> tag (this is also a problem with some social network sites). In that case, follow these steps:
- Perform steps 1-3 above.
- Delete all the InVideo code before the “<embed src=… ” tag.
- Delete the closing Object tag (</object>).
Your final code should now look something like this:
<embed src=”http://vid.adbrite.com/video/abplayer.swf?&vid=65&og=1″ quality=”best” width=”468″ height=”400″ name=”abPlayerObj” align=”middle” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer”></embed>
This should solve the problem. Repeat these steps whenever you add InVideo code to your blog. If you are still having trouble after following steps 1-6 above, contact customer service for further assistance.
