Videos are a serious target for lot of websites and blogs recently. The power of videos can drive in massive amounts of traffic to a website and it also helps stop the spamming to a great extent. I already explained in my earlier post that leaving comments on blogs can drive traffic to yours. Now imagine the traffic that you can expect from video comments. Video Comments would slowly become the trend in sharing your views and ideas and it can take you miles away from the regular text based commenting world.
The best advantage that i feel of video comments is spamming can be eradicated once for all. When people try to expose themselves to comment on a website, i’m sure they would only target websites with relevant comments, which is a great step for all to share the feeling of an interactive experience.
Now, what is this Seesmic WordPress Plugin you may ask? The Seesmic plugin is a wordpress plugin and it allows for video comments to be added to your WordPress blog. Video comments as i told you above can add a great new dimension when readers start expressing their views with a face on it. Everyone around in the comment section would be willing enough to hear what the fellow commenters has got to say.
Some of the major benefits of the Seesmic WordPress Plugin are :
- You can record one or more Seesmic video’s to a blog post. Which means, it is simply not limited to the comments section only but you can also add value in the content section i.e., in the blog posts too. Cool stuff isn’t it?.
- It Allows for replies and creates a threaded conversation.
- It can accept authenticated (a seesmic user login required) or simply anonymous video comments.
- Moderate video comments exactly like the regular text comments.
