Making money blogging has become the real slogan for millions and millions of bloggers these days. Well, nobody is to be blamed while i’m the one of it too :-). Hearing other people succeed is definitely a great motivation but what has been the true success path is always a mystery to everyone. Dreaming of making millions in blogging is not at all bad but do you truly believe that people who start blogging can expect money right away? The answer is a “Yes and No”. Infact 98% of new bloggers biggest mistake is being carried away by the money making factor. Let me not put aside from others here as i had gone through that same patch of hopes. After all, we are human beings who cannot resist the dreams of money making. But when i asked myself whether the efforts of feeding the dreams are fulfilling, i had to honestly say a vary BIG No. I was wondering what was going wrong when i did take care of the basic thumbs of rule in blogging - Willingness to work hard, Understanding the blogging platform(in my case, wordpress) and the biggest rule being updating the blog on a contant basis.
To succeed at blogging , the main aim is to build a readership. Well, it is the golden rule of blogging. The higher your traffic, the more readership will be created and that ultimately transforms into money. Saying that is easy right? Not really. cultivating the regular visitors that you will need in order to make a profit isnt easy. Everybody starts off with an idea and is instantly ready with a blog like a pop corn turned out from seeds. What you have got to say in the web space has become so very easy with tons of free blogging tools available. That leads to say, having a great idea or a wonderful writing style is no longer the key to get the attention of the readers. I used to really think it is a miracle to win in the blog world but i’m slowly changing that mind once i stepped out from the authentic thoughts of blogging. Authentic i mean here is spending all of the time simply writing posts. It is important to be writing constantly and having your blog update the crawlers / spiders of the search engines to say that you still exist, but money making cannot be restricted to just looking at search engines alone. Staying away from this mental block of writing posts just for search engines is very important. You might get hits for the seaches from people here and there but it is just a passing cloud. Do you think that the user is going to come back on a regular basis. If those are users like that you are targetting, you might have made money when you are in the 80’s. This is the lesson learned.
To be certain, updating as often as you can is a great way to keep your blog high on blogrolls and high in blog search engines like technorati, and once your readers know that you update frequently, they will return to your site on a regular basis. However, it does not matter how often you update if nobody is reading your page. So dont skimp on the time that you spend drawing visitors to your site. To make your dreams of blogging for profit a reality, try decreasing your number of posts and using some of that time to draw new visitors by setting up link exchanges with other popular bloggers, making contacts in the blog community (like mybloglog), and following other established modes like writing articles for winning traffic.
Of course, even if you are a marketing genius or have a really great idea for a blog, success is not going to happen overnight. Building the kind of readership that blogging for profit requires takes time, and in all likelihood it will be at least several months before you are able to turn much of a profit. Try to stay committed to your blogging project during this initial rough period. To stay motivated, set goals for how often you will update and how many readers you want to attract, and then reward yourself for sticking with your plan. You might have great things to say but how long can you even stay is the real question in blogging. So my only advice would be start writing and build content in the niche you are good at and once you have built some genuine content, dont overdo that. Instead, spend a lot of time in spreading your content and articles. I’ve personally seen some difference and there is always hope in blogging. So, good luck in your blogging and let me know if you have any good marketing ideas.
