I just recently started getting my pages indexed well and started to consistently do well in alexa. Well, 3,294,838 might not sound great for the established folks out there but from 10 Mill to 3 Mill is a big jump I thought and I would definitely keep the alexa ranking in hold in a few months. Now that I have a reasonable ranking, I thought it is the perfect time to have the Text Link ads kicking, which is a great source to make money. If you have not yet tried Text Link Ads, click here to get registered.
Let me first explain what Text Link Ads (TLA) is. Text Link Ads is a marketplace where advertisers and the publishers unite. Advertisers profit by reaching a wide range of audience (site visitors) through publishers web sites or blogs. Advertisers gain the visibility to their products or services and the publishers are ultimately paid for their successful web site standing in the marketplace. So, it is a win-win game for both the advertisers and the publishers. The way Text Link Ads plays a part here is how they connect both the parties. It is the TLA who acts as an agent to connect. For that to happen both the advertisers and the publishers are required to sign up for Text Link Ads and once they get accepted into the system, the option to grow is endless. Publishers are expected to have a page rank of at least 2 and have an alexa ranking under control. Once publishers get accepted, text link ads crawls the publishers web site and fetches the keywords to place it to the advertisers. An advertiser willing to pay for those keywords buys a link off your web site and the publisher is paid based on the ranking and other measures of the web site. This is how Text Link Ads work.
Now, what is InLinks is a big question to a lot of people. It is something that is newly introduced and let us see what it is all about.
While I was submitting my blog to Text Link Ads, I was asked if I wanted to try the inLinks advertising. Following is an image that you would actually get to see during the signup process to Text Link Ads, InLinks.
It took some time to know what InLinks is trying to do. There was not enough information on the Text Link Ads site as well. As you can see from the image above, it has some limitations too.
So what is inLinks?
In short, inLinks as Text Link Ads allows you to transform those keywords in your blog to links and sell them to the advertisers. The only difference here is the links are embedded in the content. It is a good idea but not the same idea, I would say. Kontera works like that, but it is not intrusive, as they are just links, which has always proven to be the best way medium to adapt in the internet marketing world. The biggest catch here for publishers is the restriction to make money through other good sources like Text-Link-Ads, ReviewMe and PayPerPost. But you are allowed to use PPC advertising models like Adsense and BidVertiser
The way Text Link Ads are making the publishers sign up is by motivating with promising captions on their web site saying that InLinks have started to make a lot of money for Publishers in the TLA network. I’m sure TLA is making a lot of money from this very program InLinks but we have to really wait and see how it is going to help us, considering the fact that it has got some restrictions on other 3rd party programs that I mentioned above. 3 Links are sold per page (I am not sure if it is for one advertiser)and the price of the link as usual ranges based on your site popularity, the page popularity, link popularity, alexa ranking and what not. It is believed that it might take some time to tap into the InLinks market (as Text Link Ads themselves are claiming it would help in the long run).
With all said and done, I’ve anyways signed up into InLinks on my main site, TipsOnClicks. I’ve to wait and see how it performs. If any of you happen to have some experience with InLinks, please do share it in the comments section.
Happy InLinking. Before trying out the InLinks Program, i suggest you to boost your website links through this wonderful Link Building Software, which is freely available. It is called Comment Kahuna and it helps you build links with zero cost. Check it out.
